Michelle Burgess is passionate about books that “fuel the soul & mind.” She is the founder of “Book Queens” an online website dedicated to supplying books on African American culture. She is still solidly rooted in Oakland California, where she was born and raised. As a youngster, she read Maya Angelou’s I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings the book that touched hearts worldwide, including hers. That was the jumping off point for a life-long relationship of intrigue and joy in the world of books. She also has an interesting relationship with tea and fine china that dates back to her grandmother. From books, to tea, to being the “Herbalist Queen,” Michelle presents you with remarkable books, custom-made teas, and a great book-buying experience.
